Came across your website purely by accident. I too went to Lady Margaret High School and I remember you when you were a prefect there.

Ruth - it was so delightful to get your lovely, warm congratulations on my blog. And now it is a pleasure to 'get to know you' - a bit - via this website. Jewish/Welsh sounds good to me! If not a perfect combination?! I am very touched to hear about your book 'Remembering Judith'. I was a video interviewer for Spielberg's Shoah Foundation. I also wrote an article for Options magazine about the legacy of the Shoah on the second generation. I would love to read your book. Elisabeth

Dear Ruth I have just finished reading 'Remembering Judith' and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it (so to speak - much of it was harrowing) and how much I admire you. I have not had any personal experience of anorexia, but your book really brought home to me what a hideous and appalling illness it is for the sufferer and for those that love them. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. Best wishes Jane

hello i just wantd to say what a true inspiration you are to me. I have nearly finished reading Remembering Judith, i feel very touched. It has been a very difficult but satisfying to read as it has provoked emtions in remembering my past experiance of Anorexia and the impact it had on my family. It has driven to to make up for what i put my family through and realise there shouldn't be a desire for perfection and control, but for love and happiness. Your success in writing has truely been an inspiration and i feel sorry for what you had to go through, though i assume it is not sympathy you are looking for, but to drive the strength in overs through their difficult times and reflect everyone should have courage and strength. I truely believed your writings have shined these influences on people. xx thank you for sharing your story to the rest of the world xxxx

I am writing after reading Remembering Judith. It touched me more than I can say. There are many similarities between it and my mums, and my life. It is a shame that you carried guilt around for so long. I would say that you did everything you could, and a whole lot more too. You come across as a lovely person, and I am glad you have found happiness.

Ruth I have just finished reading you book 'Remembering Judith'. It is one of the few books I have read since my daughter died in July just a few days after her 20th birhday. Sabrina died in a car accident, but had been suffering with Anorexia for more than 5 years. I am heartbroken,it just does not seem possible that after 5 nightmare years, that she she should die so suddenly. I have such a hatred for this illness, so when I saw you book I was hoping for some 'something' I'm not really sure what. I am left with feeling even more confused, you have such a genorous spirit and don't feel as I do, which is very cheated. It also seems to me you are obsessed with food, and struggle with the same demons as your mother, I can't understand it. At the moment I am struggling between believing that our time on earth is preodained, and what would or could have been. My loss knows no bounds, and I am thinking maybe the nature of this illness, which makes the sufferer so needy, creates a bond too strong ! I know I am not the most articulate person so I hope you can understand what I am saying. I am also Jewish but have found no comfort in that fact, if anything I feel totally removed. I admire your drive and ambition, but feel that the cost has been high to you on a personell level. I have to say that I am so pleased for you that you have children and grandchildren and life on the whole is good. Thankyou for the book. Bobbie
